About The Song and Songwriter "Man of Constant Sorrow," Dan Tyminski
Written in 1913 by blind folksinger Richard Burnett, "Man of Constant Sorrow" has been recorded by artists including Emry Arthur, Ralph Stanley, Jerry Garcia, Waylon Jennings, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Joan Baez, and, notably, the Soggy Bottom Boys, a fictional group in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? The band, comprised of George Clooney, John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson, lip-synched over vocals by Dan Tyminski, Harley Allen and Pat Enright. The multi-platinum soundtrack received five Grammy Awards in 2001, including Album of the Year.
The lyrics were handwritten, autographed, and donated by Dan Tyminski specifically for this auction.

Buyer's Premium This auction includes a 10 percent Buyer's Premium.
